The Fort Burnside Communication & Coastal Defense Museum is a nonprofit organization. Every membership directly supports ongoing restoration, archival work, and education programs at Beavertail State Park.

All paid members receive a login to our CollectiveAccess digital archive at archives.fortburnside.org — browse the complete collection including restricted-access items, high-resolution media, and detailed catalog records not available to the public.

Questions

When do I get my archive login?
Immediately after your payment completes — you'll receive a welcome email from us with your Pawtucket username (your email address) and a temporary password. Log in at archives.fortburnside.org.
What's in the archive that isn't public?
The public collection shows items marked for general access. Members can also view restricted-access items including high-resolution scans, unpublished documents, and detailed catalog records for sensitive or fragile materials.
Is my membership tax-deductible?
Fort Burnside Communication & Coastal Defense Museum is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Your membership dues are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. A receipt will be emailed after payment.
Can I give a gift membership?
Yes — complete the checkout with the recipient's email address and we'll send the welcome and archive login directly to them. Contact us if you need a printed gift card.
